I really enjoyed this Pixar film just because it is very different to their usual ones. The main character Merdica, who is supposed to be the princess in her village in the Scottish Highlands really doesn't want anything to do with her birth rites. She would much prefer to be in the outdoors, practising her archery skills. This depiction of a princess is very different to the normal storylines, and the relationship that you see play out between her and her mother is also very different and heart-warming to watch. The film is definitely underrated and I think that if you enjoy watching the newer Disney films, such as Moana then you'll also really enjoy this one.
