This movie gets a bad rep that I think it doesn't deserve. People were angry with the first movie because it was too similar to A New Hope, and now they are angry with this one for being too different than most Star Wars films. But I honestly think that's why this movie is so good! It brings a new, fresh feel to Star Wars. It completely disregards the idea that the universe is effected by only one family and shows that even a nobody can be powerful. Yes, Finn and Rose's plot line was not necessary, but that shouldn't make you hate the film (or make you hate Rose, cause she's amazing). When I first watched it I was taken aback and didn't like it that much, but watching it a second time really helped me see just how brilliant this film is, not just as a Star Wars film, but a film in general.
