The original and first in the franchise of all the Ice Age films is one of my favourites since it really sets the tone for the following films, and I think is definitely more emotional than the others. This unlikely pack of friends is thrown together in a strange situation, and of course they all hate each other at the beginning because they don't understand each other. However, as the film progresses, and they learn more about each other, they form a friendship. It is also quite a funny movie, and I enjoy the strange little character that is the squirrel that features throughout the other fills as well.
