What infouriates me about Alien, is that i can see why people like it so much. The first half of the film is pure atmosphere and tension build up. This part is amazing, and unrivaled in just how effective it is. After this though it becomes more of a slasher film, playing of the claustrophibia, which never really affected me. The best thing this movie did though was making Alien in to a franchise.
