After leading his football team to 15 winning seasons, coach Bill Yoast is demoted and replaced by Herman Boone – tough, opinionated and as different from the beloved Yoast as he could be. The two men learn to overcome their differences and turn a group of hostile young men into champions.

Inspiring movie focused on football but with underlying messages. Can be seen as a little bit too propagandistic and obvious with the "hidden" message not being all that hidden. Not a bad movie and at least the audience gets some emotional takeaway from it.

A classic for Denzel Washington and a great film for sports lovers to watch when growing up to learn lessons about work ethic, standing for something bigger than yourself, and appreciating diversity and fighting racism. All of this is mixed in with a great personal story and some great football highlights mixed in.

I'm not a huge fan of sports movies (football especially), but I will give credit when it's due. The film, although not to my taste, is well-made and is overall inspiring to those who watch it. If you're an avid lover of sports/football movies, then I definitely recommend it.
