A revealing drama that focuses on the 16th President's tumultuous final months in office. In a nation divided by war and the strong winds of change, Lincoln pursues a course of action designed to end the war, unite the country and abolish slavery. With the moral courage and fierce determination to succeed, his choices during this critical moment will change the fate of generations to come.

This is a stunning film that delivers content that is really important for American viewers to know about - the life of one of the most influential presidents of our country. The acting is excellent and the story line is realistic and respectful without being over the top.

Lincoln is filled with many important topics that I would typically find extremely boring, especially in school. This is the most difficult of all subjects to film, a dense scholarly work translated to popular culture, but it succeeds on all counts. I would highly recommend this to everyone.

Abernathy Lincon is nation wide known as one of Americas greater Presidents, and as someone with a huge respect for him, I am unsure why I have not seen this film. When it comes to films about Presidents or other world leaders, they can seem to drag on or be slightly boring. What can be seen as boring, I desire to focus on the historical significant moments that pass during Lincons time at president. I feel like it is needed for myself as an American to watch it.

A necessary watch if you are an American and are doing your service as a citizen by educating yourself on our past. I watched this for Daniel Day Lewis and was thoroughly impressed although I feel he couldn’t save the movie’s run time or monotonous tone throughout. I started to lose interest and fall in and out of sleep on this one.
