A movie radiating warmth in every shot. Set in the perspective of a child, Pete's Dragon is almost overwhelming for the kids and decent enough for the adults. Great cast, average CGI and some good dialogue bring you in while the paper thin plot is the weakest chain in the link.

I have not seen the original film from which this was adapted, but it was satisfying enough to watch this rendition with its stunning visuals and heartwarming story line. It would make an excellent family movie night choice that the whole family could thoroughly enjoy.

"Pete the Magic Dragon!", a song I've sung as a child. I was stoked when I heard they were making a live version of this children's classic, but it did not live up to my expectations. Perhaps they we're to high, but I found it was lacking originality; maybe because it came out too close to Disneys "Jungle Book" live film, but overall it was cute, but nothing to write home about.
