The story of a mild-mannered radio executive (Ferrell) who strives to become the best stepdad ever to his wife's two children, but complications ensue when their freewheeling, freeloading real father arrives, forcing stepdad to compete for the affection of the kids.

I always love Will Farrell's movies, and this is one of the really funny ones. It's all about the competition that exists between the two fathers, one of which is the children's biological father and the other is their step-father. I think the film really brings to light some important issues around co-parenting, and the struggles of how to parent children that aren't yours. The film has a very light tone, and will have you laughing throughout.

This is a sweet movie, but it's also pretty cliche. Will Ferrell, not my favorite actor, does a decent job in this movie- I feel that his character fits well with him. It feels a little bit lazily thought out but overall it is a warm film that is great as a family movie.

Marky Mark and Will Ferrell team up once again to deliver a comedy performance that only the duo can bring to a movie. The movie is tamer than Ferrell’s other comedies so it can be enjoyed by a younger audience as well as an older one.
