This movie is such a great movie to sit down with the family, relax, and enjoy the flick. It really brings the family together with the ups and downs throughout the film. Each character has qualities that make us reflect on things from our own life.

I really enjoyed this movie. the four leading ladies are quite impressive, particularly Mary Stuart Masterson. the story was enjoyable as well--a bit of character study, a bit of down-home tall tales, and a bit of slice-of-life Americana. women probably get much more out of a film like this, but there's plenty for the fellas to enjoy as well. overall solidly entertaining.

The acting feels kind of stiff, but the overall story wants to be very touching and meaningful, but it doesn't quite reach that goal unfortunately. The storyline is focused on friendships between women though, which is something novel.
