かなり人を選ぶ作品だと思うが、自分としては最高に面白かった。 まず脚本が相当に練られていて、嫌悪感を与えるエイリアンの造形や主人公の内面外面の醜さ、弱い移民に対する社会の冷酷さや差別・対立意識など、全てのネガティブな表現が現代（10年前だが）の風刺のようで上手く煽動され、細かく説明しなくとも時代背景設定がすんなり入ってきた。また、主人公が徐々に背負っていく非情な運命を傍観しながら、自然と感情移入する自分に気付いた時、これは観客の心理変化までも計算されている、と驚嘆した。最初のドキュメンタリータッチから主人公視点へ移り替わる点など、あえて序盤は誰目線で観るべきかを曖昧にしておいて、共感できない主人公が不遇に見舞われ始めてから主眼をそこに移す、という凄い観客先導技術を何気なく使っている。 そして映像に関しても、エイリアンデザインやメカ造形などは当然ながら現実離れしているが、それが実映像とうまく融合すると、なぜかリアルさを感じてしまう。恐らく色彩や反射などを実在の物質に似せることで表現しているのだと思うが、これが素晴らしい効果を生みだし、あり得ないシーンも感情移入出来てしまう。人間やエイリアンのダメージ表現なども淡々とリアルに表現しているので、苦手な人はキツいかもしれないが、これ無しではこの映画の良さが成り立たなかっただろう。 この映画でニール・ブロムカンプ監督のファンになり、彼の映画と短編動画を全て見ているが、一貫して奇妙なリアルSFを造り続けているので、この映画にハマったのであれば他もお勧めです。

What a inventive and thoughtful film! Legit it's a one of a kind. To have a film about aliens that live among earth, but are discriminated against and segregated from the humans; we follow different characters both human and aliens they try to change the mindsets of the humans towards the aliens. This film may be focusing on discrimination against aliens, but it opens the discussion of actual human discrimination we see today.

정체성, 몸, 그리고 집에 대한 공상학적 탐구

현실감 있는 외계인과의 접촉을 그려낸 영화. 참신하고 신선했다. 주인공의 감정의 서사에 많은 공감을 했다. 적나라한 불편한 상황들에 주인공이 너무나도 무력해서 씁쓸했다

not a great movie but it's worth a watch if its free imo

This is an original take on the extraterrestrial genre. There was obviously a lot of creativity and brainstorming before filming this movie, and is not stereotypically cheesy science fiction. Lots of action scenes keep it interesting but it is not overboard on the violence.

A brutal film about a different sort of alien invasion. Though it is very obvious in what it wants to tell, it is still enjoyable, because of the acting, the visuals and the simple and easy to follow story.

This film was always number one on my list to see and when I did, woah! It exceeded expectations. The way it is shot like a documentary but yet contains so much CGI and amazing visual/practical effects, it was stunning. The acting is flawless and something Western audiences aren’t accustomed to. The plot was deeply original and I loved every minute!
