I love this movie for one reason, that it just doesn't care. It is dumb, certain plot points can be very contrived, some of the acting is over the top. However, the film is not interested in these things. It just wants to show big robots and big monsters fight each other. Every criticism I have of the film is immediately forgotten, once I remember that I saw a Jäger suplex a kaiju. This is an awesome film, and I will hear nothing else.
