Demons and folklore is a great topic to create an anime about, mystical creatures and ancient worlds are open for exploration and this anime certainly manages to grab hold of the concept. This is my all time favorite animated show, combing both history and the supernatural into one. Kagome is a strong lead character who won’t let others push her around even if she comes from another period. She’s a perfect foil for the fiery Inuyasha as the two must learn to work together and defeat the evils from their world while also protecting their growing band of friends. Once again contains themes of love and loss, this show is both hilarious and enticing, anyone who sees it will likely be sucked in until the end.
