The boy who wasn't supposed to grow up—Peter Pan—did just that, becoming a soulless corporate lawyer whose workaholism could cost him his wife and kids. But a trip to see Granny Wendy in London, where the vengeful Capt. Hook kidnaps Peter's kids and forces Peter to return to Neverland, could lead to a chance at redemption, in this family-oriented fantasy from director Steven Spielberg.

Hook is a 1991 American fantasy adventure film directed by Steven Spielberg and as it stars one of my favourite actors of all time, Robin Williams, I expected better for the adaptation of a Peter Pan legend. There is no doubt that viewers still experience fantasy and adventure but I just could not find myself enjoying Hook as much as I enjoyed the famous Peter Pan.

I have fond memories of watching Hook as a child and it holds so much promise and warmth that every time I sit back and soak up the high-flying adventure, it sends shivers down my spine. This is a classic, whimsical film that leaves lots to the imagination.
