This film deserved every Oscar thrown at it. It looks good, it's funny, it's extremely complex but doesn't dwell on the fact for a moment. The acting is as good as the story, one carrying the other. I can't think of a movie where people so obviously had so much fun. Not to mention the soundtrack is brilliant, too. Definitely recommend this film.

A crime noir? Sign me up! This 1973 film sounds like a film I need to see. I always felt that the best crime/ mystery films were made back then. Originality has almost been fully lost today so I’m expecting this one to keep me on my toes with originality and excitement.

This stuff is fine theatre, technically or any other way, and along with them the film is exciting for the recklessness of its independence, even if it seems to have little to be free for.

Very high production budget, this film is impressive, especially considering when it was filmed. It is an American classic movie set in the 1930s, a time that is not very prominent in American film culture, which is a shame.
