Like many remakes to great tv shows there simply isn’t enough time in the films to finish the overall plot. Not only was this the case with avatar but they managed to fill roles with subpar casting. If you are thinking of watching this after watching the animated series do yourself a favour and don’t. This film will remain a stain of what was a good standing series before it. Just like the American made death note film this movie sadly missed its mark by a mile.

Many fans of the last air bender were very excited when this film came out. We always want more of our favorite characters. It was disappointing. They didn’t stick to the cartoon as much as we would have liked. It was a little too serious and I didn’t like the actors they choose for the characters

This might be the worst movie on the face of the planet. Not only does it completely butcher the amazing plot from the tv shows, but it does not even act like a movie. The pacing is off. Watching paint dry would be more entertaining. Do yourself a favour and NEVER watch this movie, especially if you love the brilliant tv show. I mean they pronounce Aang's name incorrectly and whitewash all the characters. It's complete garbage.

Although I'm a huge fan of M. Night Shyamalan and his films, this is definitely his worst movie. I'm a huge fan of the Avatar the Last Airbender television series and I was so excited that it was going to be made into a film. With terrible acting and special effects, I felt this movie was done wrongly.

Awful doesn't describe this movie. As a fan of the series, you notice the mistakes they made, the parts they misunderstood, and their butchering of familiar beloved characters. If you are not a fan, the film is just dull and has way too much exposition. Avoid at all costs.
