I don’t even know what to say about this movie. “Perks of Being a Wallflower” goes straight into the mind of depressed teenagers and shows you more than statistics. I believe any person, whether they’ve struggled with depression or not, will relate to this movie. It shows the life of the outcasts and the misfits. It will make you feel like you are not as alone as you thought you were. If you watch this movie (which I hope you do) bring along a box of tissues. Cause you will DEFINITELY need it.

Talks about teenagers who have scars and pain from the past that continues on till present. Sadly, their pain becomes the reason for others to judge about them and cannot easily open up. The main character charlie’s past also did not show up until the end of the movie when he finally remembered what happened to him. He continuously tried to run away from the pain that he could not endure, but eventually he had to face it and share it to overcome it. The movie shows how extreme pain could really affect a person in a very long term even when one does not notice it. It showed how the pain slowly breaks you down. Also, it showed well how people tend to blame themselves for the wrongs that happened to themselves or others. The movie made me want to read the book which I have started and I can already tell the movie is too short to contain everything in the book!!

The quintessential, coming of age, depressing teen flick. I prefer the book but I’ll always love the movie.

Derin bir film. Akıcılığına kesinlikle kapılırsınız, bir yandan da karakteri çok seveceğiniz bir durumda beğenmediğiniz yanlarını da kabul edemeyebilirsiniz.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower, based on the book by the same name, is one of the most realistic and relatable high school films out there. There are so emotional up-and-downs that will have you watching until the end. You find yourself sympathizing and relating with so many characters. This is a great coming-of-age movie that everyone should watch in their youth.
