In the inland of Portugal, this is a cautious Summer, after a wave of fires and the death of a friend. In any case, we are almost at the time of the Popular Saints’ festivities, in which, as the protagonist says, one can “pretend that nothing happened and continue to dance”. But for Chico this is not so easy, since he sees himself outside of his group of friends.
