特に大きな盛り上がりはなくストーリーはかなり平穏。しかしその平穏な中にルビーとその家族の葛藤が描かれており、自然とルビーの気持ちが理解できる気がしてくる。ルビー（と家族）が家族への想いをうまく昇華させながら、葛藤を乗り越えていく姿は自然と感動してくる。
