This adaptation of the original story book left me a little bit disappointed. For sure, the visuals are excellent and I was fully able to appreciate the retelling of the story, but the thing is that I'm not sure a child could. This movie is pretty dark. I feel like it's meant more for the adults who new the original story than it is for kids who are hearing it for the first time.
