Director Rob Reiner casted huge stars such as Jack Nicholson, Tom Cruise and Demi Moore to a movie that just fell flat for me. It was an unbelievably patriotic and very predictable American film. I may be bias as I do not tend to enjoy overly-patriotic or super Westernised movies within the military drama genre; it just does not feel worth the watch nor fresh nor an original concept. I know this will be an unpopular opinion, especially since the cast are so talented but I just could not fall for the plot.

I love a good military movie, and this one brings all the aspects that I enjoy: it has gung-ho soldiers, romance, and drama. A lot of the drama takes place in the courtroom, however, and those parts can get a little bit dry, but overall a good movie- especially because Tom Cruise is in it!

A Few Good Men is a classic military legal drama and part of the cultural zeitgeist. Who hasn't heard, "You can't handle the truth!" at some point? Enthralling and well acted, getting great performances out of Jack Nicholson and Tom Cruise in particular, the film leaves views in suspense the entire time.
