Terry Malloy dreams about being a prize fighter, while tending his pigeons and running errands at the docks for Johnny Friendly, the corrupt boss of the dockers union. Terry witnesses a murder by two of Johnny's thugs, and later meets the dead man's sister and feels responsible for his death. She introduces him to Father Barry, who tries to force him to provide information for the courts that will smash the dock racketeers.

I first watched this film in my film course where we had to analyze the film. There is so much to this film than meets the eyes. Aside from the analysis part of it, the film is genuinely entertaining to see so much character development from the wonderful actor Marlon Brando who did an amazing job in this film to portray the character caught in trouble. The movie comments on the modi’s era of America that had control on the entire city
