I love, love, love this movie. It's an excellent rendition of a classic story and has a great message for kids and adults alike. I haven't seen the movie in years, but it's one of those that I'm sure I'd still enjoy - maybe even more and certainly in different ways - seeing it again now.

Growing up Pinocchio was one of my favorite Disney cartoons. Dark, atmospheric, and complex Pinocchio explores moral decision making in a way few children's film do.

This is one of Disney's first movies, and I think it's amazing what they managed to create without the aid of computer animation. Pinocchio follows the tale of an inventor who can't have children of his own, so he decides to build a puppet out of wood. One day, he wishes for Pinocchio to become a real boy, and a fairy suddenly appears and grants his wish. She also then makes a cricket dressed in a suit become Pinocchio's conscious, with the idea that he would help Pinocchio with his new life. Unfortunately, Pinocchio finds himself in lots of trouble during the film, including being on the inside of a whale.
