Frankenstein is an iconic horror film, based on Mary Shelley's classic novel. The story follows a self-obsessed scientist Dr. Henry Frankenstein - portrayed by Colin Clive - who plays God and creates life by assembling a creature from body parts of the deceased. Dr. Frankenstein succeeds in animating his monster, performed by Boris Karloff. The Monster experienced trauma and escapes to the countryside, wreaking havoc to which Dr. Frankenstein is tormented by his creation. The movie Frankenstein really touches upon theories such as those of individuals who do not have a motherly figure in their life and what happens to them because of this. The movie is a heartbreaking horror.
