세실 B 데밀의 세심한 조명 컨트롤을 잘 볼수있는 작품 흑백영화에서의 조명에 대한 감탄은 찾아보기 힘들다 생각 할 수 있지만 조목조목하게 보면 정말 미쳤다라는 말 밖에 안나오는 작품 이당시 영화계는 백인이 아닌 다른 인종이 여자들은 현혹시키고 빼앗아 간다는 이야기가 상당히 유행했었음 (클리셰)
