48 Hrs. is a pretty good movie, with an even better performance from the main actors. I wouldn't expect the best movie you'll ever watch, but do expect a pacy and entertaining early example of the "partner thriller" style.

This is a comedy in which a criminal is put to work to track down some other inmates who have escaped from prison. It's a comedy, but at the same time an action movie. Being an older movie, it lacks some of the visuals we would expect from more modern films, but the characters are entertaining.

This film seems very fun; and with Eddie Murphy it has to. Be funny. After looking at the reviews on Rotten Tomatos, my assumptions were confirmed. Most of them repeat the notion that it is predictable, but it doesn't get in the way of hilarious comedic lines.
