Both actor and actress won the awards for best male and female performance in 1992. The awards speak loud words for this masterpiece.

나에겐 그냥 평범한 추리 범죄 스릴러 영화인데 왜이렇게 명작이라고 얘기듣는걸까? 1991년즈음에는 이런 유형의 영화가 없었나? 내가 아는 현재의 진부하고 익숙한 스토리들의 원형이 이것이었나? 당시에는 새로웠나? 2025년에 봤을 때는 뭐가 명작이라는지 잘 모르겠다.
