Captain Phillips

Paul Greengrass and Tom Hanks team up for this very interesting yet odd pirate holdup story. Raises questions of duty vs. the individual and how Tom Hanks’ character maintains this sense of leadership even when things go awry. The ending adds perspective to the film when we finally see how much this all affects Hanks’ character who has been forced to maintain a tough exterior throughout the film. A serious but great movie.

終始緊迫感があり、特に救命艇内でのフィリップスと海賊の心理的な攻防戦は最後まで緊張感があった。最後になぜフィリップスが狂ったのかは謎。
