If you are already invested in the first Beverly Hills Cop, you will surely enjoy this sequel. However, if you had reservations about the first film this one will not remedy them. It is not particularly funny, and it doesn't add much to the first movie.

Although I have never watched this movie, after reading the overview I feel like this would be a very good movie because it really attracts the viewer with its unique plot. A comedy movie with a comedian cop is a good change of pace.

I saw it twice and liked it vastly more the second time around, when I'd adjusted my expectations and had my bearings from the get-go. Then it became about digging the spectacle.
