NYPD detectives Christopher Danson (Johnson) and P.K. Highsmith (Jackson) are the baddest and most beloved cops in New York City. They don't get tattoos, other men get tattoos of them. Two desks over and one back, sit detectives Allen Gamble (Ferrell) and Terry Hoitz (Wahlberg). You've seen them in the background of photos of Danson and Highsmith, out of focus and eyes closed. They're not heroes, they're "the other guys." But every cop has his or her day and soon Gamble and Hoitz stumble into a seemingly innocuous case no other detective wants to touch that could turn into NYC's biggest crime. It's the opportunity of their lives, but do these guys have the right stuff?

Another classic Will Ferrell film that upon first viewing I really wasn’t into but after a few viewings on daytime TV, grew to love. It’s plot and important characters is something I do not recall well but the on screen relationship between Ferrell and his co-star Mark Wahlberg is something you get once in a decade. Seeing Wahlberg in a comedy like this where he makes you laugh out as such, was nothing short of spectacular. Got to hand it to them.

This is a perfectly functional parody of the buddy cop comedy genre. The film first 15 minutes are the highlight, with Samuel Jackson and Dwayne Johnson, being perfect counterparts for Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell. Everybody has an amazing chemistry, and get decent enough jokes to work of off. A sure fire bet for an entertaining time.

A great buddy cop movie featuring the great comedy duo of Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg where they play two outcast detects who are polar opposites and constantly being ridiculed by their coworkers. The movie is insanely funny and will make any viewer laugh and smile.
