One of those stories that without a particularly strong plot manages to come through in a big way, due to the acting, dialog, situations and direction.

A film I have seen more times than I am proud to honetly admit. It is a classic Adam Sandler and Kevin Smith screwball comedy that explores gender norms and what it means to be gay especially in a heterocentric world that constantly judges someone for their desires rather than their character. I would say it isn’t a must see Adam Sandler flick but if you want something to watch while drinking and bored on a Friday night, this can be your guilty pleasure.

I remember watching this when I was younger and thinking it was a really good, entertaining movie. However, in hindsight it is hard not to see it as a little homophobic. It really mocks the struggle of gay people who actually love each other. I get that it's a comedy, but it really wasn't necessary.
