Trapped in their New York brownstone's panic room, a hidden chamber built as a sanctuary in the event of break-ins, newly divorced Meg Altman and her young daughter Sarah play a deadly game of cat-and-mouse with three intruders - Burnham, Raoul and Junior - during a brutal home invasion. But the room itself is the focal point because what the intruders really want is inside it.

The "Panic Room" is one of those movies that thrives upon its simplicity. The characters are not abstract nor are they complex, they simply just moved into their new home to be attacked by burglars, with actors such as Jared Leto, who play a game of life and death. In a sense, the thriller is absolutely terrifying as it touches upon real life circumstances. Of course, the entire movie is just tense suspense but it somehow creates a brilliant watch for director David Fincher. Grab your popcorn and get your own panic room!

A film focused on a panic room just screams thriller; and as a fan of a thriller then I am on board for this one. Though it may not have the best critic ratings, I am open to a fun thrilling film.

The film is a solid home invasion movie with an added twist of being focused on a panic room. The star studded cast does a great job at building the suspense and making you very alert as you watch to see what happens in each scene.
