Prima ballerina Dominika Egorova faces a bleak and uncertain future after she suffers an injury that ends her career. She soon turns to Sparrow School, a secret intelligence service that trains exceptional young people to use their minds and bodies as weapons. Egorova emerges as the most dangerous Sparrow after completing the sadistic training process. As she comes to terms with her new abilities, Dominika meets a CIA agent who tries to convince her that he is the only person she can trust.

Although I love Jennifer Lawrence, and she was great in the movie, it wasn’t as good as I had expected. Although it has plenty of action, it seemed to me that there was unnecessary nudity and sexual scenes. The actual plot was very confusing to follow as well and I found myself lost halfway through the movie.

There are so many movies with a similar premise that are better than this. There is a lot of fairly graphic sexual scenes and also a number of sex scenes. None of which are great. Furthermore, the action sequences are fairly lackluster compared to similar genre movies like Atomic Blonde and Lucy to name a few who do it better.
