올빼미라는 제목에서 알 수 있듯 어두울때 시력이 회복한다는 참신한 소재로 영화를 꾸렸다는 것이 신선했다. 또한, 중간중간에 반전이 숨겨져있는 게 재미를 더할 수 있었다. 개연성도 충분히 좋았다.
