I didn't have high exceptions going into seeing Knight and Day. I was pleasantly surprised after I finished it. It's a pleasant diversion, a fun time at the cinema that doesn't ask a lot of of it's audience and offers an enjoyable ride. But overall, it's a funny little spy movie featuring some adventure and rom-com elements as well. It's not destined for any awards, but enjoyable summer entertainment.

"Knight and Day" is entertaining, but not fantastic. If you're looking for an action movie that is not too heavy (in plot, that is), this movie might be ok. But a deep story it is not, and it seems to attempt to ride mostly off of its cast. Maybe if you are fans of Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz in particular, you might get more out of the movie.

I saw it twice and liked it vastly more the second time around, when I'd adjusted my expectations and had my bearings from the get-go. Then it became about digging the spectacle - not to mention the hilarious sexual politics.
