Ike Graham, New York columnist, writes his text always at the last minute. This time, a drunken man in his favourite bar tells Ike about Maggie Carpenter, a woman who always flees from her grooms in the last possible moment. Ike, who does not have the best opinion about females anyway, writes an offensive column without researching the subject thoroughly.

"Runaway Bride" is indeed funny, and Julia Roberts once again proves her talent in this movie. I wouldn't say that this movie goes far beyond being funny, though. Something is a little off in the chemistry between the characters and the plot is a little disappointing.

Definitely Julia Roberts worst film, if not the worst film in existence. Runaway Bride is a tired story that is extremely predictable and contains absolutely no surprises. I wouldn't recommend this movie to anyone and would instead recommend them to avoid this movie.

This is just a classic romantic comedy. What is so interesting with this film is how it handles the topic of those with commitment issues. It shows that those who have commitment issues are not always bad people, it sometimes boils down to problems they have with themselves. It is really sweet to watch someone get to a place with themselves where they can open up to love.
