The Texas Rangers chase down a gang of outlaws led by Butch Cavendish, but the gang ambushes the Rangers, seemingly killing them all. One survivor is found, however, by an American Indian named Tonto, who nurses him back to health. The Ranger, donning a mask and riding a white stallion named Silver, teams up with Tonto to bring the unscrupulous gang and others of that ilk to justice.

It's like Pirates of the Caribbean. But dry. And not that good.

"The Lone Ranger" is an action adventure movie, showcasing actors Armie Hammer and Johnny Depp in a plot that had high hopes for me and the bubble just burst. The only good part of the movie might be the origins of Depp's character Tonto but the movie is just overly flawed and takes itself too seriously. Not to mention, it began to feel problematic in the director Gore Verbinski's film as it focused too heavily on trying to be both entertaining whilst serving equal Western political correctness and the balance was just not there at all.

Whenever The Lone Ranger first came out, I was really excited to see it because of Johnny Depp. However, I wasn't the biggest fan after watching it. I felt too many scenes were overdone and that they style didn't fit with the storyline. I wouldn't really recommend it to anyone.
