This film is a fun time all around. The music is contagious and the dancing is so spectacular. The cast works well together to bring a fun film to its viewer. It is a fun musical, that is not afraid to touch upon racism and the exclusion of others because of their appearance. It make sure the viewer has a fun time while also teaching them valuable life lessons.

A movie about integration and diversity, it is a total joy to watch it while trying to sing along. Mainstream? Yes, but who cares? Performances do not disappoint, given the fantastic cast making up this movie. Perfect to entertain yourself for a couple of hours

I feel like I've offended so many people when I tell them I haven't seen "Hairspray", so as result I've added it to my watchlist. Many tell me that John travel to is hilarious in this film and it's a must see so immature give it a try. But warning all those who have told me to watch it, I better enjoy it!

This is a fun and sweet movie that seems to do a great job of adapting the original musical from which it was created. While on one side a great upbeat movie, Hairspray also deals with social issues such as body image and race. It's certainly a full plot in that respect, and I'd really recommend watching it.

A beautiful message is sent to young girls and boys though this film. Not only is the beauty defined by body type, but not is it defined by skin color. This film hits on sensitive topics that many afraid to mention, and does so in a tasteful way
