If you are on a Matt Damon binge, don’t forget to watch this one to see him at his creepiest! You can tell that Damon studied hard for this role since it required intricate subtleties in his character. A great and very scenic film that takes place partly in the beautiful Italian countryside. A film about obsession where the main character never feels in touch with other characters but is smart enough to study human behavior and impersonate it the best way he can. This is also peak Jude Law with a great supporting role from Philip Seymour Hoffman.

영상미가 너무 훌륭하다. 거짓말을 하면할수록 끝없이 외로워지는 톰만 남았다. 집중해서 두시간이 순식간에 삭제됐다 스토리가 진행될수록 심장을 너무 조여옴

The Talented Mr. Ripley is one stunning piece of cinematography. Every scene, every action, every line uttered is done with the greatest assurance and nothing appears to be there by accident or out of place. The way the characters interact with each other and their surroundings is always believable and we never question anything that is shown on screen. The film is a masterpiece of tense situations, great characterisation and professional film-making. I highly recommend this movie to anyone.
