The main protagonist, a sex columnist, Carrie Bradshaw, portrayed by Sarah Jessica Parker and her three friends; the fun Samantha (Kim Cattrall), the superficial Charlotte (Kristin Davis) and the rigorous Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) help to set the scene for one of the first American major series to follow the lives of women. The four women explore Manhattan's dating scene, exposing the men and dating habits of the Big Apple - New York! It is almost addictive to watch the four ladies and their love affairs wrapped up in endless laughter and drama for the audiences' pleasure.
