Set in a dystopian future, a woman is forced to live as a concubine under a fundamentalist theocratic dictatorship. A TV adaptation of Margaret Atwood's novel.

A very unique premise that isn’t so outlandish an idea considering the way the political climate looks these days. I binged this in just a few days and can’t wait for more. Amazing production design and acting in this series too.

The first season of the televison series "The Handmaid's Tale" was beyond vivid whilst hauntingly moving audience members. There is something nerve-tingling and something really refreshing about the hit series. The is daringly open while discussing traumatic events based from true stories in its extraordinary episodes. The TV adaptation was a very respectful nod to the author Margaret Atwood's novel. Be sure to be greeted with drama, thrills, spills and cliffhangers!

An amazing show! There is so much content that I don’t even think I understand all the deep messages within each episode. The depth of the plot with hints of future and past and oppression and liberation. You can relate to each character while feeling like you can never really understand what they’re feeling. It is done in such a realistic manner even though it is hard to imagine life that way. The show is phenomenal and I would recommend

My favorite tv show! I recently finished the second season and I’m excited for the third season! It’s crazy thinking about how the handmaidens live there life. While I’m watching this show I’m always extremely focused on it just in case I miss anything. Great show and it’s not overly dramatic either!

Extremely captivating show but honestly very intense and cold. Not suited for everyone. This show is based on a totalitarian society on religion and fertility. Lots of rated R scenes and intense scene. Would not recommend for ages under 18.
