The series centers on the adventures of Sookie Stackhouse, a telepathic waitress with an otherworldly quality.

I've only ever seen the first season of True Blood, and it was really good. The acting at times is a bit unbelievable and overdone, but it doesn't take away from the storyline. True Blood is the kind of show that comes along and while it has every opportunity to fall flat, sinking into the rut of so many other 'vampire TV shows', it rises above and makes its own cut into the genre.
