映画史における性表現に関するドキュメンタリー。編集はPLAYBOYであるようだが侮るなかれ、劣情よりは知的好奇心を刺激する仕上がりで非常に示唆に富み、米国映画ファンなら一見の価値ありです。内容はセダ・バラからキャメロン・ディアスまでの映画作品がおおよそ時系列で紹介され、評価と裏事情の解説が展開される。ハリウッド周辺がメインでヨーロッパ映画はほんの寄り道程度だったのは残念だったが、政治性や世相の影響、テレビとの戦いなどとても興味深い。もちろんヴィジュアルだけでなく、セリフやテーマの工夫という面も面白かった。こうしてみると黎明期から映画産業と性は切り離して語ることが決してできないことがわかる。
