Lucia and her son live isolated from society in a flat place where there’s practically no life. The small family unit formed by mother and son hardly ever receives visitors, and their goal is to lead a quiet existence. At first they succeed, but the appearance of a mysterious, violent creature that starts stalking their small house will put the relationship that unites them to the test.

シャマランの『ヴィレッジ』や、 アニャ・テイラー＝ジョイの『ウィッチ』を思い起こさせる系の映画でした。 19世紀のスペイン、 戦火から逃れた一家を襲う怪物の正体… それは父や母、そしてディエゴ、 それぞれの恐怖が生み出したイメージなんだと解釈しました。 御伽噺のようなホラー作品かと半ば気軽に選択したら戦争映画の要素が強く思いの外考えさせられた。 あとは好みの問題で、個人的にはそこまでハマらなかったので★少な目です〜
