In the 1850s, Captain Charles Boone relocates his family of three children to his ancestral home in the small, seemingly sleepy town of Preacher’s Corners, Maine after his wife dies at sea. 最近のスティーヴン・キング作品の映像化は結構水準が高いので安心して観られます。この作品は、いわゆる『呪われた町（Salem's lot）』の前日談。大学の課題で書かれた作品とは到底思えないです。 ただ、パンパイアの大ボス、ジェイコブの最後があまりに呆気ないと言うか、ジェイコブのビジュアルがやっぱり笑えてしまうのがマイナスでしたかね。後，蛆虫と言うよりミミズですよね。 とは言え、やっぱり最高に面白かったです。
