(실제로 그랬는지 모르겠지만) 자신의 의도와 상관없이 왕의 자리를 물려받아야 했던. 그래서 자신의 딸에게 왕위를 물려줘야 하는 운명 속에서. 왕위의 무게만큼이나 앞으로 망가질 한 개인의 삶을 걱정하던 아버지(조지 6세)의 모습이 인상 깊었다. 그런 아버지 아래에서 자란 딸이라면 뭔들 못해내겠나. 싶고. - It's an archbishop that puts the crown on your head, not a minister or public servant. Which means that you are answerable to God in your duty, not the public. - I am aware that I am surrounded by people who feel that they could do the job better. Strong people with powerful characters, more natural leaders, perhaps better-suited to leading from the front, making a mark. But, for better or worse, the Crown has landed on my head. And I say we go. - We are half-people. Ripped from the pages of some bizarre mythology, the two sides within us, human and crown engaged in a fearful civil war, which never ends. And which blights our every human transaction as brother, husband, sister, wife, mother.
