Mom's Song

Mom’s Song presents the life of a family. That doesn’t mean a dramatic family history will unfold. The biggest incident that happens to this family is that the father is planning to marry a young woman. The story revolves around this ‘incident’. Broken-hearted mother complains to her son Dong Min and drinks excessively out of anger after she met up with father. What is revealed during this process is the unavoidable ‘evidences’ of the family. The scenes where mother or Dong Min wearing mismatched socks or the overlapping image of father and Dong Min placing a flower in mother’s hair exhibit the sickening irony of family relationship. Another interesting aspect of this film is the casting.
