It isn't the worst of them all, it isn't the best of them all... it isn't the most complete and compelling story but it doesn't lack good moments and well-done action sequences. Mr. Moore definitely starts to look on the older side here, but it somehow -works- with the plot (except of course for the fact thar he seduces rather younger women), as he seems not as a daring young cowboy but rather as a wise sheriff. Still, the plot had more than a few very slow trails, and only a few characters felt tridimensional. It surely catches up in the last act, and the enviroment starts to feel more like a "modern" Bond film, but in the end it ends as a pretty standard-issue double-oh flick. The thing that sorta bothers me the most is that i can't seem to find an unifying theme that both drives the plot and that somehow plays a major role in the naming of the movie. For Your Eyes Only? Well, yeah, a manila folder with the phrase on it and voila. That's it. C'mon. Funny puns here and there, but nothing worth mentioning.
