It's been almost three decades since the rage virus escaped a biological weapons laboratory, and now, still in a ruthlessly enforced quarantine, some have found ways to exist amidst the infected. One such group of survivors lives on a small island connected to the mainland by a single, heavily-defended causeway. When one of the group leaves the island on a mission into the dark heart of the mainland, he discovers secrets, wonders, and horrors that have mutated not only the infected but other survivors as well.

대니 보일이 28주후를 그렇게 깠던 이유가 이런 영화 만들고 있어서였음 같은 시리즈로 묶었으면 안됐음 이러나 저러나 시간 아까운 영화임

The Rudyard Kipling’s - Boots was so good in this movie. It only get more enjoyable on the second half of the film.

비주얼 하나 잡으려다 나머지 다 골로보낸 영화. 감독이 인상깊게 본 각종 영화 드라마들 참고해서 열심히 예술영화처럼 삶과 죽음의 의미를 깊게 담아보려 애썼으나…대실패. “아 그래 상업영화니까 이럴 수 있지..”도 한두번이지 후반부 가서는 어차피 망한 영화인걸 감독도 인지했는지 갑분 파워레인저 등장시키는 뇌절파티. 초반부엔 그렇게 엄숙하고 무거운 분위기를 잡아놓고…. 심지어 내가 제일 싫어하는 한국 특유 신파까지 첨가된 희대의 개짬뽕파티. 갑자기 구슬픈 바이올린 bgm 깔리고 “사랑해 엄마..” 하면 관객들이 슬퍼할 거라고 생각한 감독의 수준이 여실히 드러난다… 이름값의 반의반의반도 못하는 영화. 그래도 연출은 매우 신선했다. 좀비 표현이나 카메라 구도(?) 같은 표현들은 꽤 새로웠다. 시덥잖은 의미부여만 안했어도 좀 나았을텐데… 개연성 일관성도 찾아볼수가 없고… 여러모로 돈이 아까웠다.
