원작과 비교하면 완벽한 영화. 원작을 욕해야지 영화를 욕해선 안돼!

A really interesting film by Spielberg, in which aliens take over the planet and every man has to fend for himself even amidst taking care of his estranged kids after having split from his wife. A really honest film that makes you grateful that we have not yet faced invasion by a greater species than us. It makes you realize how special everything you have now is and how grateful one should be over their current predicament.

Good and enjoyable movie to watch. Dakota Fanning and her screams are really annoying though. Picture quality on 4K is great and the Dolby Atmos track is out of this world. Worth a watch.

Intriguing movie with a very good storyline. It was probably the first "scary" movie I ever watched - although rewatching it years after is not scary at all. Prepare to dive into the hypothetical world in which aliens finally come to our world and humans have to escape a bloody war of the worlds.

Personally, I think this is a very well put together thriller. What it lacks in character, in gains in haunting visuals, and amazing sound design. Some of the shots in this film will be vividly remembered, because of their gruesome nature. It also brings some new ideas to the aliens and does some great things with the source material. A very tense and exciting film.
