Ever since her parents left her as a baby, little Annie has led a hard-knock life with her calculating foster mother, Miss Hannigan. However, all that changes when hard-nosed billionaire and mayoral candidate Will Stacks takes her in on the recommendation of his advisers. Stacks believes that he's Annie's guardian angel, but the plucky youngster's confidence and sunny outlook may mean that Annie will save Will instead.

Iโm happy that this remake was actually not bad. Most people canโt hit the mark with remakes but this one was great and kept that original song everyone knows but with a modern twist! Love how they modernized it more to suit the tastes of kids in our time. Great family movie.

I remember watching the original "Annie" movie as a kid - many times. Although this movie has mixed reviews, I'd definitely still like to see the musical/movie acted through other actors in a more modern setting. The story is a classic and I feel like a new rendition would still be timeless.

Honestly, I was a little worried about this remake. How could I not be when the original Annie was such a huge part of my childhood? But this remake makes the story modern and it is just a joyful as the first one. It brought back childhood fun for me which is always a nice experience. Do not let the fear of remakes make you miss this wonderful movie!
